This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
The pose is important to help sell your character idea. The overall shape is too, it should be intersting. I like doing thumbnails just to quickly play with the anatomy/pose of the character once you know what kind of character you want to create. Think of a brief description for it, and that will help alot on what it will look like. My latest gallery post was for the topic of "Junk Collector" That's all I needed to know. That sparked alot of ideas.
Just keep in mind the function of what you want to draw, that will help with adding details to it. In this case it's a helmet. What type? For Underwater/Space/Motorcycle...etc. Can't tell, theres no one detail that says what it's for.
Also when ever possible use reference...for example, do a search for 'helmet' in google/images. It will get you a good start on a believable helmet.
A couple ways to help in creating characters.
